Strand Fjellstue is located in beautiful Espedalen, 730 metres above sea level. The little mountain lodge with the big heart, surrounded by towering mountains, idyllic lakes, amazing wildlife, and rich flora.

Strand Fjellstue is an ideal destination for groups and corporate entities. Whether it is a kick-off, Christmas party, or company outing, we will provide tailor-made activities – on water as well as on land. Strand Fjellstue is also the perfect venue for family events. Wedding receptions, confirmations, family reunions, christenings, and gatherings can all be arranged in line with your requests. The lodge has 18 rooms sleeping a total of 46, a dining room with seating for 100 people, and an intimate lounge with open fire, bar, and dance floor.
60 kilometres north of Lillehammer, by the foot of Jotunheimen, you will find the peaceful and idyllic Espedalen – our friendly wilderness. The valley, which stretches north-west from Gausdal and into the Vinsterdalen valley, follows the 12-kilometre-long lake Espedalsvannet. It has always been a popular destination for outdoor recreation and adventures.
Strand Fjellstue is a fantastic starting point for spectacular mountain hikes, and has Langsua National Park as its closest neighbour. The lodge offers bicycles, rowing boats, kayaks, and canoes for hire, and the hosts will ensure that you are equipped with a valid fishing permit for rod as well as otter. Furthermore, the lodge has its own vintage bus often used to transport guests to the nature park Helvete (Norwegian for ‘hell’), located 5 kilometres further south in Espedalen. Helvete has Northern Europe’s largest potholes, and the guided tour is a truly unique experience. The lodge can also offer a guided tour to the valley’s many mountain-side nickel mines.
Espedalen and Strand Fjellstue are perfect for anyone enthusiastic about skiing. Its 60 km network of groomed trails is also linked to Espedalen's network, offering an impressive 200 kilometres of high-quality skiing through friendly forests as well as in the high mountains.
Strand Fjellstue offers parking/spaces for motor homes, caravans and tents.

Price per room is NOK 200, - per day and there are possibilities for connecting electricity (50 NOK extra per day).
