Birkebeinerløpet is one of the most famous running races in Norway, with 8000 participants. The course is 21 km and takes you through mountain and forest terrain.
Start at Birkebeineren Skistadion and finish at Haakons Hall in Lillehammer. All competitors must have passed 16 years of age as per December 31, 2025.
We recommend that all participants use shoes for of road running. It is also important to remember to drink enough water, both prior to, and during, the race. There are no cut of times in Birkebeinerløpet.
