The Lillehammer Region have a central location in Norway, it is located along the E6, around 180 kilometres north of Oslo, and is easy to reach by car, train or bus.
When visiting the region, travelling by bus and train are useful alternatives to using your own car. You can take the train to Lillehammer, Ringebu or Vinstra, and use the bus or rental car to get on. Several of our accommodation providers will pick up at the nearest railway station and/or at other locations if you are arriving by public transport. Remember to ask at the place you are staying.
In winter, there are ski bus services to the region’s alpine centres and the cross-country ski resorts. During the summer months, there are summer bus services to Hunderfossen Adventure Park as well as to Skeikampen, Nordseter, Sjusjøen, and Venabygdsfjellet mountain resorts (along Rondane National Tourist Route).
We recommend downloading the national journey planner Entur on your mobile, which is designed for easy search of bus and train services throughout Norway.
