Maihaugen open-air museum is within walking distance of Lillehammer, and provides an insight into what it has been like to live and work in Norway over the past 500 years. At Lillehammer Art Museum you will find numerous works by famous Norwegian artists, such as Fritz Thaulow and Edvard Munch.
