Kvitfjell, located on the western side of Gudbrandsdalen, forms part of the mountain area known as the world of Peer Gynt, and is not far from Skeikampen and Gålå.
It is home to Kvitfjell Alpine Centre, featuring Norway's most spectacular alpine runs – the very same that were used for the 1994 Olympics. Every year, Kvitfjell plays host to the World Cup in downhill skiing, and the same pistes are open to the public throughout the winter season. In addition, there are miles of spectacular cross-country ski trails, as well as walks and cycle routes, to explore.
The charming village of Ringebu is only a short drive from Kvitfjell.
