Hafjell is just over a 2-hour drive from Oslo via the E6, and is only a 15-minute drive from the centre of Lillehammer. If travelling by rail, the train stops at Lillehammer where there is a bus connection to Hafjell. It also stops at Hunderfossen station. The area’s best known resort is Hafjell Alpine Centre , which is one of Norway's largest of its kind. In summer, it operates as Hafjell Bike Park – one of Europe's best downhill biking centres.
Hafjell and Øyerfjellet offer miles of cross-country ski trails, walks, cycle paths, Northern Europe's only artificially frozen bobsleigh and luge track, and some of Norway’s best family attractions such as Hunderfossen Adventure Park, Lilleputthammer Miniature Town and the Children’s Farm, Lekeland Hafjell, and the Norwegian Road Museum.
For a period in February and March, Hunderfossen Adventure Park is transformed to Hunderfossen Winter Park – an enchanting winter wonderland made of ice and snow. A unique and magical experience for the whole family.
