It is events that over the past 20 years have put Lillehammer firmly on the map. Ever since the flame moved on after the 1994 Olympics, the level of activity has been high – something that is set to continue. Our region will be at the forefront, whether we talk spectator or participant based events.
As in Peer Gynt, nature is our main arena – enhanced by spectacular Olympic facilities. Peer Gynt, World Cup Kvitfjell and World Cup Nordic are some of the largest annual events ideal for spectators. If you would rather participate, the Birkebeiner races are decidedly the ones to aim for.
