Sjoa and Heidal

Sjoa enjoys a reputation as one of the world's best rafting rivers, and can be found in Heidal at the very top of Gudbrandsdalen, approx. 1 ½  hours by car north of Lillehammer town centre. Go Rafting Sjoa offers day trips adapted to suit all skill levels and abilities.

Heidal is often described as Norway's largest living museum, and features log buildings at every farm – many from the 1700s, and some dating as far back as the 1500s. By exploring Heidal, you will get a vivid picture of what a mountain village looked like in the olden days.
