Learn to cross country ski and have fun! Whether you are new to cross country skiing or would like to improve your existing skills the team of instructors at Venabu Fjellhotell can help you. Our cross country ski instructors are experienced and qualified through Den Norske Skiskole (DNS) and the British Association of Snowsport Instructors (BASI).

Whatever your current skill level we can help you to achieve your ski ambitions. We can help you to gain a solid foundation and understanding of cross country ski technique if you are a beginner. As a more experienced skier you may want to refresh ski technique to become more efficient on your skis. Perhaps you are an aspiring skier racer?

Would you like to feel more secure and effective when skiing up and down hill on cross country skis? We can run an ‘uphill and downhill’ lesson on the friendly slope close to Venabu Fjellhotell or offer ‘coaching on the move’ with a lesson out on the tracks. 

Cross country ski lessons are available for both classic and skate skiing.

Learn to Cross Country Ski our week-long cross country ski holiday with instruction. This holiday-style course is designed for beginners who would like a cross country ski holiday with a focus on learning. Dates in January, February and March 2024.

NEW: Introduction to Nordic Off Track Skiing week This week-long holiday, February 2024, combines quality ski coaching with beautiful off track ski tours to help you to develop the skills and experience for more adventurous off track skiing. This week will suit intermediate cross country skiers.
