The work is a 2.5 x 2 x 1.5 meter large bronze sculpture of an ant that observes nature equipped with an astronaut costume and film camera.
More specifically, the camera is aimed at a giant Maurtue, which is located a little to the side of the Pilgrim Trail over Kløv. With its location inside the forest clearing, overlooking the valley and sheltered by tall trees, the artist has been inspired by maurtua as a picture of nature as creation, and language as a way to have awareness of creation.
ANT. is located at the lookout point Kløv along the Pilgrim Trail between Rindal in the south and Stalsbergsvea in the north. To get to the sculpture you have to walk some distance, approx. 30 min. from the nearest car park at Rindal, and approx. 20 min. from parking at Stalsbergsvea at the end of Sveavegen.
Parking at Rindal or Stalsbergsvea.
