About
With the Peer Gynt Route as starting point, climb uphill and continue in direction Lohaugen until you reach a sign for Kopperslåa. Follow the trail downhill to the right, and then follow signs for Espedalen Fj. In winter there may be an icy patch along the trail, just south of Lohaugen.
The trail continues steadily downhill through forest terrain, and all the way down to the main road. Be careful when crossing the road. As you reach the other side, follow the road past Espedalen Sportell (to the left of the mountain lodge), and then follow signs for Dalseter. This is the first trail on the right, behind Espedalen Sportell.
Continue along the hilly forest lane, and all the way to the northern edge of lake Breidsjøen. As you reach a sign marked Dyregrav, turn right and follow signs for Dalseter. After approx. 500 m, cross the small bridge. Continue to follow signs for Dalseter, and you will reach the Dalseter Ski Lift base station. It is possible, in winter, to take the ski lift up to Dalseter (tickets available at the base station). Alternatively, you can either follow the ski slope, or the trail/road to the left of the slope. Follow signs for Dalseter.
In winter, the trail is machine groomed and double-tracked all the way. The most common direction in winter is clockwise.
An excellent trip both clockwise and anti-clockwise. The trail is machine-groomed, and is double tracked all the way. Be careful when crossing the road.
