About

With the centre of Brumunddal as starting point, the route first leads south and then turns back and continues north to Lillehammer. The stage from Lillehammer comprises two loops with several inclines, and the last loop is cycled twice.

Start at the bridge in Brumunddal town centre, and ride south along route 84. Turn left onto route 60, and then right onto route 56. At the bottom of the hill, turn right onto route 84 and follow this road through Brumunddal town centre. Turn left onto route 212, and then left onto route 41 towards Nes. By lake Mjøsa in Nes, turn right onto route 213 and continue via Moelv to Lillehammer.

Stay on this road through the centre of Lillehammer and onwards to Fåberg. Turn left down the hill, onto route 319. Immediately after the bridge, keep right and then turn left onto route 318. Stay on this road past Edvald Boason Hagen's childhood home, and onwards to Segalstad Bru. Turn left onto route 255, and continue to the roundabout by Jørstadmoen. Make a left turn at the roundabout, and follow route 319 across the blue bridge and towards Storhåve. Follow route 213 back to Lillehammer. Keep right down Mesnadalsvegen, and then turn left onto Bryggevegen just before the tunnel. Follow Bryggevegen across the Vignesbrua bridge, and keep left immediately after the motorway bridge.  On Vingarvegen, turn right up the hill, and then right again onto Heimtunvegen. Then turn left onto route 313 (Saksumsdalsvegen) and enjoy the winding road to the top. After the top, turn left onto route 310 (Døsvegen) down towards Vingrom. Immediately after the hairpin bends, turn left onto route 331 (Vingromsvegen) and return to Vingnes. At Vingnes, turn right onto route 253 and continue across the Vingnesbrua bridge and up Bryggevegen to Lillehammer Station.

The original route included a round to the north of town and then back along the motorway – a stretch that cannot be used for training. Instead, the last loop via Vingnes, Saksumsdalen and Vingrom is cycled twice.

This route was stage 3 in Tour of Norway 2013 and 2014.
