About
Snuen can be found north-west of Oppsjøkrysset, and is an easily accessible rounded mountain top and an excellent alternative to the longer hikes in the area. At the top, there are spectacular views of other peaks and a stunning vista of Synnfjorden and Langsua.
Walk or cycle the farm road from Oppsjøkrysset to Rokvamsetra (approx. 2 km). Just before you reach Rokvamsetra mountain farm, you will see a trail on your right. Follow this to the top, keeping right at the forks. From Oppsjøkrysset to Snuen, the distance is less than 4 km. The route is moderately challenging, and leads through varied forest and mountain terrain.
By car, follow route 250 and then 196 (signposted Synnfjell). Continue past Spåtind Hotel to the car park by Oppsjøkrysset.
