About
At 1414 m above sea level, Spåtind is the highest peak in Synnfjell and is a popular destination with miles of spectacular views in every direction.
The distance from the Krokhølen area to Spåtind 1414 is approx. 10 km, and is a 3–4 hour moderately challenging hike – mostly through gentle mountain terrain.
Way-marked trails to Spåtind run from Strangsætra, Aasætra, and Gråberga. On the way up, there are detour options to Svartkampen (1168 m), Olavskampen (1312 m), and Høgkampen (1360 m). As you cross the Høgkampflæene plateaus and walk along lake Høgkampvatnet, the scenery is spectacularly wild, yet gentle.
By car, follow route 250 and then 196 (signposted Synnfjell). Parking is available in the Krokhølen area and by Synnfjellporten.
