Sjusjøen cross-country ski resort

Sjusjøen is known as an eldorado for skiing enthusiasts, and is ideal for hard workouts as well as more recreational trips. The Birkebeiner Trail weaves its way through the area.Sjusjøen's trails border the trail network in the Nordseter, Øyer, Hafjell, and Lillehammer. In total, over 2,500 km of tracks are available.

Sjusjøen comprises two cross-country ski arenas suitable for competitions at an international level - Sjusjøen Langrennsarena and Sjusjøen-Natrudstilen Langrennsarena.

Sjusjøen-Natrudstilen plays host to the world's elite early in the season, and is used as a training camp as well as for competitions.

Artificial snow is used, and the season starts at the end of October.

Public transport
There is a bus running several times daily from Lillehammer Skysstasjon to Sjusjøen langrennsarena (cross country arena). For up-to-date timetables, we recommend using the national route planner Entur (also available as app: Entur for IOS and Entur for Android).

Skisporet.no covers most of the region’s trail network, and offers up-to-date grooming status. Details on altitude and length are also provided.

We also recommend downloading the Skisporet app, as this will show your location in the trail network when the GPS function on your phone is activated (Skisporet for IOS and Skisporet for Android).
