Cross-country skiing and tour suggestions

If you enjoy skiing, Lillehammer is your perfect winter holiday destination. With over 2300 kilometres of prepared cross-country ski trails, people of all skill levels will find a terrain they are happy with – whether they are beginners or competitive skiers. 

It is with good reason the world elite in Nordic skiing and biathlon come here to compete, and both Sjusjøen and Lillehammer have arenas of World Cup standard.

The season will often last from November to long after Easter. A skiing enthusiast's dream!

Ski school and Ski rentals

All ski resorts offer cross-country skis and equipment for hire, and ski lessons are also available if you need to brush up on your technique or are skiing for the first time.

Ski-bus service directly to the trails

Going skiing? Then check out the ski bus! The service runs from Lillehammer Skysstasjon to Hafjell and Skeikampen several times a day, and operates daily from 11. December 2021 to Monday 18. April 2022.
