Ski races in Lillehammer and Gudbrandsdalen

Every year Lillehammer and Gudbrandsdalen play host to a number of large and exciting challenges. This is a spectacular way in which to enjoy nature and the winter landscape – on skis and with a race number on your chest.

Lillehammer Troll Ski Maraton is one of the world's longest and most beautiful classic ski races. The course leads through stunning scenery with an ancient wild reindeer population – a true outdoor adventure.

Another spectacular experience is the Furusjøen Rundt Race. This will take you through one of Norway's most beautiful areas, ranging from forest-clad trails to the bare mountain. In Rondane National Park, the views are breathtaking.

The Birkebeiner events have history at their core. With races for every age group, these are challenges the whole family can enjoy. Staying true to tradition, all participants have to carry a backpack in memory of the Birkebeiners who carried Haakon Haakonssøn, the young heir to the throne, across the mountain in 1206.
