About
Lillehammer Art Museum is one of Norway’s leading art museums. The collection consists of over 1500 works dating from the 19th century to the present day. Part of the collection is always on show.
The museum building was designed by Snøhetta for the Lillehammer Winter Olympics in 1994.
ESTONIA'S GREAT PAINTER
This autumn and winter you can get to know Estonia's great painter Konrad Mägi at Lillehammer Art Museum. He is widely unknown, but in his home country he has the same position as Edvard Munch has in Norway.
Mägi’s art is marked by colourful, audacious and modern paintings from Estonia, Italy, France and not at least Norway. The exhibition will be on display from November 26, 2022-2. April 2023.
FEMALE CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ART
From spring to autumn 2022, the museum presents the exhibition Stepping out! Female Identities in Chinese Contemporary Art. Never before has an exhibition presented female Chinese contemporary art on this scale. It is a Chinese exhibition about history, future, traditions and modern women.
