Welcome to a stay in historical surroundings at Harpefoss Hotel in Sør-Fron!

Originally built as a station hotel, posting inn, and country store during the construction of the Dovre Line in 1896, Harpefoss Hotel is a historical gem in Sør-Fron offering accommodation and conference & function facilities.

The old country store doubles as a café during summer, and offers local food products. There are new art exhibitions in the gallery and in the park every year, and with the stunning Harpefossjuvet canyon in view you can explore trails and hikes to other experiences in the landscape.

We offer basic accommodation with breakfast, and we also cater for small groups, companies and events. Our banqueting hall on the first floor can be hired for functions, training and meetings.

The hotel is intimate, yet spacious and comfortable – in a setting where a dramatic canyon scenery meets a contemplative garden, open social spaces meet small private balconies, and historical architecture meet modern art.

Accommodation is available all year round. Our café and country store is open between 12.00 and 16.00 every day from the middle of June to the end of August. The exhibition is open throughout the summer season.
