About
While enjoying breakfast, your eyes rest on the horses grazing and the goats wandering around the yard. During the day, you can explore the forest trails. In the evening, you can watch the stars without light pollution.
Here you can get a taste of farm life or enjoy a retreat stay where you build mental strength with the farm and nature as your setting.
Activities
We have arranged good times both indoors and outdoors. In the activity barn you'll find a gym, table tennis, billiards, and a pizza oven. In the summer, there's a trampoline outside the activity barn, and in the winter, you can go sledding in the field. There's also the possibility for a horseback ride or a ride with a horse and wagon. On the edge of the farm, there's a pond where you can take a summer swim or a little row.
Accommodation
The caretaker's house is a single-family home, originally a log house from 1850, which has been modernly renovated while still retaining some of its original character. The kitchen is fully equipped where guests can prepare meals. There are three bedrooms with a total of eight comfortable beds. All rooms have views of pastures, forest, and garden.
On a hill slightly separated from the farm, we have a cozy older cabin that has been newly renovated and expanded with modern facilities. It is completely secluded from the rest of the farm and has a fantastic view of the water and mountains. There are three small, cozy bedrooms here with space for five people (two double beds and one large single bed).
Location
It’s only 20 minutes to the town of Lillehammer, with lots of cultural and activity experiences, or to Sjusjøen with freshly groomed ski trails in winter and many mountain trails in summer. From Gardermoen, it’s just a 1 ½ hour drive.
Hiking Terrain
Around the farm, there are a variety of trails for both short and longer walks. Here you can stroll, run, bike, or ride a horse. For those who want to push their heart rate a bit more, there are uphill trails perfect for interval training. In winter, you can go for walks in the forest with snowshoes. Not far away is the lake Næra, which you can reach on foot, by bike, or on horseback.
